Norway is committed to following the EU, which leads the way on Green Law.
The Green Law and political ambitions will shape expectations, societal development, and regulatory frameworks, and entails that industry, business, and municipalities going forward will meet radically new requirements related to sustainability, climate awareness, and specific requirements for measures within all levels and production chains for your organization.
Green Financing
The Financial sector has a key role in the attainment of the UN's 17 Sustainability Goals and the climate goals in the Paris Agreement.
New requirements related to integration of sustainability for risk management and financial reporting, acknowledge the importance of financial enterprise as a catalyst for change for business and the economy as a whole in terms of reaching our goals.

EU's Taxonomy
The Taxonomy is EU's classification system for sustainable economic activity. Six environmental areas have been deemed the most important ones.
In order for an economic activity under these six areas to be defined as "sustainable" per the EU Taxonomy, it has to:
1. «Contribute substantially» to the attainment of at least one of the environmental goals.
2. Not have a «significantly negative impact» on any of the other five environmental goals.
3. Attain the minimum requirements for social and governance-related relationships (e.g. OECD's guidelines for responsible business practices (responsiblebusiness.no)
